TRIS database is the prime source in all areas of transportation research, it is a bibliographic database funded by sponsors of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) that contains almost 500,000 records of published transportation research.

Online TDM Encyclopedia
Transportation Demand Management (TDM, also called Mobility Management) is a general term for strategies that result in more efficient use of transportation resources. This Encyclopedia is a comprehensive source of information about innovative management solutions to transportation problems. It provides detailed information on dozens of demand management strategies, plus general information on TDM planning and evaluation techniques. It is produced by the Victoria Transport Policy Institute to increase understanding and implementation of TDM.

Bureau of Transportation Statistics
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) was established for data collection, analysis, and reporting and to ensure the most cost-effective use of transportation-monitoring resources.
Highway Statistics
The Highway Statistics Series consists of annual reports containing analyzed statistical data on motor fuel; motor vehicles; driver licensing; highway-user taxation; State and local government highway finance; highway mileage, and Federal aid for highways.
National Transportation Statistics
National Transportation Statistics presents information on the U.S. transportation system, including its physical components, safety record, economic performance, energy use, and environmental impacts.
Nationwide Household Travel Survey
This survey is an ongoing Federal Highway Administration effort to collect information on travel in the United States by households. Information collected in the NPTS contain a wealth of information on daily household trip-making by all modes, for all purposes and all trip lengths. The Surveys also links characteristics of the households, person and vehicles to household travel.
